Rev. Parker Named Regional Represetative.

Rev. James Parker, who has served as GLURC's Judicatory Rep for the past five years, steps into the role.

On Feb.y 2, 2017, our Unity Worldwide Ministries Great Lakes Region (GLURC) hired Rev. James Parker as our Regional Representative. The term is for one year.
During that year, our region will continue to collaborate with the Unity Worldwide Ministries (UWM) Standards team in working towards a more consistent relationship among the regional reps, the regional boards and UWM.

Over the next year, Rev. James will be working with our GLURC board in redefining the regional rep role in cooperation with UWM. At the same time, he will be working toward certification in Ministry Skills in order to be eligible for the new role.  Rev. James has courageously accepted our offer and vision to create a regional representative position with clearly defined lines of responsibility, authority, representation and reporting. Our GLURC board invites to you congratulate Rev. James on his new role; see our web page for his contact information http://www.greatlakesunity.com/board-and-staff.

Our GLURC board decided in the Feb. 2, 2017 meeting not to fill the Judicatory Rep position. UWM is moving toward having a small team of national Judicatory Reps, eliminating the need for regional Judicatory Reps.  We join UWM in that change of staffing for the worldwide Unity ERS function.
