On a January day in 1925, in the heart of the Roaring Twenties, a small but visionary group of Truth students gathered in Cleveland’s Hotel Cleveland and officially became a Unity church. That inspired decision gave birth to what is now known as Unity Spiritual Center Westlake (USC) — a thriving, inclusive spiritual community celebrating its Centennial Anniversary this year.
On May 15, 2025, a 100-day launch took place offering ceremonial bricks for purchase that will pave the way to a Legacy Tree and Time Capsule on the beautiful grounds of USC. Bricks are sold for $50 with the participants choice of engraving. Centennial t-shirts are also being sold for a group photo that will memorialize the day.
The Centennial Celebration welcomes the entire community to celebrate this momentous event on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Unity Spiritual Center Westlake, located at 23855 Detroit Rd., Westlake, OH 44145. The day-long celebration promises inspiration, connection, and joy for all generations.
Distinguished guests - including past ministers, Unity leaders from Unity Village and Unity Worldwide Ministries, and civic dignitaries - will join the community in person and video in honoring the legacy. On Sunday, August 24, a Legacy Tree and Time Capsule Installation Ceremony will take place following the 11:00 a.m. morning service. Engraved commemorative bricks and centennial t- shirts will be featured as part of this enduring tribute.
“Those who came before made ancient and universal ideas such as the unity of existence, the nobility of life, and the capacities of consciousness available to each of us,” said USC’s senior minister, Rev. Dr. Richard Loren Held. “May we come together at this pivotal moment in our history, ready to make these same ideas available to countless souls yet to come.”
All are welcome! This once-in-a-lifetime event invites everyone to join in a celebration of spirit, community, and 100 years of progressive spiritual teaching. For more information and a complete schedule of activities, visit: https://unityspiritualcenter.com/centennial.

Morning Reflections
w/ Rev. Cindy Yamamoto, Unity of Livonia
Morning Reflection, weekday mornings from 10:00 - 10:30 a.m. EST, is a group from throughout the U.S. that began in 2020 as a way to commune and support one another along our spiritual journeys when we were all feeling separated. We begin by reading a brief passage from a booklet published by UWH, followed by an open discussion where we share our thoughts, feelings, ideas, and prayers. All are welcome to join us via Zoom to connect and reflect. Join us any day or every day. There is no need to sign up and no commitment.
On January 27th we will begin using a new booklet called "Return to Wholeness: Living Healed, Whole, and Healthy".
